Taken about 5 weeks to arrive from Canada. It’s the final issue of the first volume and the final issue I needed to complete my run of all Marvel’s Micronauts (though not strictly true: I’m on the lookout for the special editions which reprinted the first 12 issues).

Received this today: The Sandman Deluxe vol 1. I r Received this today: The Sandman Deluxe vol 1. I read Gaiman’s Sandman in the late 1990s and haven’t reread since. The deluxe edition is great - very similar to the Fables ones - with the exception that the dustjacket has a fake “sticker” on the front advertising the Audible series. From my point of view, it makes this edition look cheap (and it’s not!).

It’s a long time since I read the original issues when they were released. I’m hoping the tv series hasn’t put me off Umbrella Academy as much as I think it has (the tv series is TERRIBLE!).

Have wanted this (or the hardcover smaller volumes) for absolutely ages. Finally found this reasonably-priced copy. I actually bought these issues when they came out in the 1980s. #swampthing
This was the treat of the week: modern artists rei This was the treat of the week: modern artists reimagining Giant-Sized X-Men 1 from Len Wein’s original script. (Apart from one obviously out-of-character page) It’s brilliant. This 45 years old story knocks the sock off the decompressed and over-extended comics of today.

These single issue reprints of the first issue of These single issue reprints of the first issue of #Marvel heroes are fantastic. It’s the closest thing to feeling what it was like reading them for the first time. (I’d much prefer the inside pages to replicate the paper stock of the 1960s but I guess glossy is what modern readers are more wiling to buy).
